Rhythms of the Soul was created for those who long for more than a vacation, who feel drawn toward beauty, culture, ancient traditions, meaningful connection, and experiences that leave something within us changed.
❋ Daily Wellness PracticesPicture a blend of guided moments in the beauty of vibrant cobblestone streets. From breathwork overlooking the jungle, contrast therapy on a rooftop spa to a beachfront massage, this trip offers a perfect balance of focus and fluidity with daily wellbeing.
❋ Ancestral Sound JourneysImmerse yourself in the midst of the jungle and journey into a traditional ancestral sound journey with an optional medicinal enhancement and discover what gifts are ready to be heard within.
❋ Traditional Temezcal ExperienceA private traditional sweat ceremony held within a Temazcal. This ancient ceremony is one we enter with the deepest respect and reverence to heal ourselves and our relations. Led by a cultural local who sings songs in one of the dying mesoamerican languages, you will embark through 4 doors in total darkness to shed and heal.
❋ A Supportive SpaceThese retreats prioritize safety, and respect, so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process. This blend of guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect, offers a balanced experience that honors focus and fluidity allowing you to expand and integrate with integrity in a non-judgemental environment.
Experience the vibrance and colorful radiance of Sayulita and San Pancho, two towns rooted in tradition, ancient culture, arts and wellness.
Together, these experiences invite us to slow down, soften, reconnect, and remember the rhythm that exists beneath the demands of everyday life.
This is not a traditional all-inclusive vacation.
Nor is it a retreat spent entirely inside a studio or workshop.
Instead, we'll immerse ourselves in the rhythm of two remarkable coastal communities where colourful streets, artisan markets, ocean air, live music, ancient traditions, incredible food, and breathtaking sunsets become part of the experience itself.
There will be moments of stillness.
Moments of exploration.
Moments of deep connection.
Moments of play.
Space to wander.
Space to rest & space to remember what it feels like to simply be alive.
This intimate six-day retreat weaves together wellness, creativity, exploration, ceremony, and play with the rich cultural traditions that continue to live along Mexico's Pacific coast.
Nestled between the vibrant streets of Sayulita and the soulful sunsets of San Pancho, we'll wander colourful streets lined with artists and artisans.
We'll lose ourselves in bustling markets, watch the sky ignite over the ocean while live music drifts through the evening air.
We'll leave space for rest, laughter, spontaneity, and adventure.
And we will gather in ceremony and daily devotional wellness, coming home to the sound of our own soul and the movement of our own rhythms.
The energy is a little more colorful and vibrant. The options to speed up and slow down will be present as you return back to self.
Inside the warmth of a traditional Temazcal we'll sweat, sing, release, and reconnect through an ancestral purification ritual carried forward for generations.
We'll experience an unforgettable evening of ancestral sound, guided by a local cultural carrier whose voice carries one of the region's remaining Indigenous languages.
For those who feel called, there will also be the opportunity to participate in an optional traditional plant medicine ceremony, held with reverence this sacred container.
These traditions are not offered as performances for visitors, they are living practices.
It is both a privilege and an honour to be welcomed into them.
Sometimes we simply need to step outside our familiar surroundings long enough to hear ourselves again, when we change our environment, we create space for something within us to shift as well.
This retreat is an invitation to return home feeling lighter, clearer, more inspired, and more deeply connected to the rhythm that has always existed beneath the noise.
Meet Your GuideJaide Chyzyk
I’m Jaide Chyzyk—a trauma-informed coach passionate about helping you awaken to your true potential. With expertise in Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Trauma-Informed Care, and Meditation, I guide clients through profound journeys of healing, self-discovery, and transformation.
I've always believed that some of life's greatest teachers are found in the landscapes, conversations, ceremonies, and the people willing to walk beside us along the way.
For years I've been drawn to places where ancient traditions are still honoured and where healing is woven into the culture of everyday life.
I've spent a month immersed in Egypt, witnessing sunrise between the paws of the Great Sphinx, participating in ceremony within the Temple of Isis, and exploring the profound relationship between place, history, human and spirit.
I've wandered the red rock vortexes of Sedona, allowing the land itself, not an itinerary, to guide the journey. Listening to the spirit of the land speak to me as I lay humbled by faces inside great mountain walls.
I've sat in traditional sweat lodges with Indigenous Elders from Lakota, Blackfoot, and Cree communities, and have returned to Mexico time and again to participate in Temazcal ceremonies rooted in generations of Mesoamerican tradition, led and held by the cultures people. Listening, learning, healing for all my relations.
Alongside these experiences, I've come to rise into facilitating retreats, workshops and speaking throughout Alberta and British Columbia while supporting clients around the world through my coaching practice and The Inner Compass Method. My business sees clients internationally and has allowed me to walk a path in service to others.
But more than any certification or destination, it has been my own life that has shaped how I hold space.
I've known trauma. I've known uncertainty. I've known what it feels like to rebuild from the ground up. Those experiences taught me that transformation doesn't always arrive through force but in layers of unfolding.
Sometimes it arrives through beauty.
Through community.
Through stillness.
Through adventure.
Through perspective.
Through remembering who we are when we finally have room to breathe.
This is the energy I naturally curate inside any container I hold, with warmth and humor so you can return to your own clarity and wisdom.
Day OneArrive, Set Intentions & Introductions
As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin connecting with those around us. The journey starts here.
This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to step into what called you on this journey, connect with the community you will be alongside and open the circle with intention. We will land into the space and gather for a welcome dinner.
Last DayIntegration, Moving Forward & Reflection
We explore the possibilities beyond this moment, making space for growth, action, and forward momentum. As we end our time together, we honor the experience, the growth, and the connections made along the way, closing the energy of the circle together with intention and integration.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A temazcal is a traditional Mesoamerican sweat lodge used for physical cleansing, spiritual purification, healing, and community ceremony. The word comes from the Nahuatl language: temāzcalli, meaning "house of heat" (temāz = steam, calli = house).
Temazcals have been used for over 1,000 years by Indigenous peoples throughout what is now Mexico and Central America, including the Aztec civilization, Maya civilization, Zapotec civilization, and many other Indigenous cultures.
-
A temazcal is usually a small, dome-shaped structure made of stone, adobe, or earth. Participants enter while hot volcanic rocks are placed in the center. Water infused with medicinal herbs is poured over the stones, creating intense steam.
A traditional ceremony often includes:
Prayers and setting intentions
Songs, drumming, rattles, or chanting
Herbal steam (such as sage, rosemary, copal, eucalyptus, or cedar)
Guided meditation
Periods of silence and reflection
Symbolic "rebirth" as participants exit the lodge
The ceremony is commonly led by an experienced guide, often called a temazcalero or temazcalera.
-
Not all meals are included—and that's intentional.
Your retreat includes a light breakfast each morning as well as three thoughtfully planned group meals, giving everyone the opportunity to gather, connect, and share meaningful experiences together.
For the remaining lunches and dinners, we encourage you to explore the local town and experience its unique cafés, restaurants, and cuisine at your own pace. This gives you the freedom to choose meals that suit your tastes, dietary preferences, schedule, and budget while enjoying the local culture.
We believe this balance offers the best of both worlds: shared community dining during key moments of the retreat, along with the flexibility to discover the destination and create your own culinary experiences.
-
